A single inhaler, three medicines: EU approves new asthma therapy

Trimbow NEXThaler from Chiesi has received approval from the European Commission as a maintenance treatment for asthma in adults whose disease is not adequately controlled with dual combination therapy consisting of an inhaled corticosteroid and a long‑acting beta‑2 agonist.

Trimbow contains the three active substances beclometasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate and glycopyrronium in an extrafine particle formulation, administered via the NEXThaler dry‑powder inhaler.
